Model for Plate Tectonics and for the Earth’s Magnetic Field

Casual correlation between climate and the strength of the magnetic field. The sign of the correlation is consistent with the model. Interglacial period weakens the field while glacial period makes it stronger. The δ¹⁸O curve is from Karner et al. (1996) and the relative variation of the dipole field intensity is from Valet and Meynadier (1993)
